I discovered the IELTS class at GV and then I took the test. For me, it was not so necessary because I wouldn't sit a test. However, it was totally different than I thought. Even though the class focused on a test, I could know and figure out my weak points. There were five main parts that we learnt which were writing, reading, listening, speaking, and vocabulary. Actually, in general English classes, I have studied those things as well, but it was not so deep and specific. In IELTS class, however, I could get the way how to write and read and speak and listen in detail. Therefore, I found out more efficient method to study English. I was in IELTS classes for 4 weeks and it was an excellent experience. I also took the test. After spending sometime in General English courses I was looking for a more challenging one to improve my vocabulary and also my fluency and IELTS lessons really helped me in this purpose. Lots and lots of vocabulary building, test simulations every week, writing and reading practice almost everyday, speaking exercises and a really commited and caring teacher collaborated to make me more confident with my English knowledge. Hi, I'm Addy Casso from Mexico, I have been at GV Calgary into the IELTS program for 8 weeks before I took the test. During the course I have had a wonderful and awesome experience. I had the opportunity to met so many international students from different countries and made them my friends. The classes were excellent because all my classmates and my teacher worked most than a team, all the activities everyday were amazing just because we were together and enjoyed that time, you just can find this here in GV Calgary I really enjoyed the IELTS course, I learned a lot of techniques, methods and strategies to improve my English skills such as Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking also a lot of vocabulary, I practiced my grammar and I did a plenty of exercises and activities all of them very useful not just for the test for your daily life like a new speaker in English language too. In addition I had the BEST teacher that I never have had before even all the teacher in GV are so nice and friendly and all the time they are available to help you.
